KK Overdrive was formed in 2010 with the sole purpose of performing some hard hitting rock music to Japanese and foreign patrons who like us, reminisce about an era of rock music, long gone which we still hold dear to our hearts. If you’re a child of the 80’s, close your eyes and remember the time when nobody was persecuted for fashion that included sleeveless denim jackets with ironed on patches (of your favourite bands), mullets, big hair, leather bracelets and parachute pants.
KK Overdrive have played at the Nagasaki military base, Tokyo’s Billboard, the Hilton Hotel in Shinjuku, The Hyatt in Roppongi and last but not least, our home away from home, What the Dickens.
Our crowds range from 100’s to 1000’s of people. Our strong point is our high energy level shows, harmonies, musicianship and crowd interaction.
